JONY — «Комета»

JONY's music video, filmed in Almaty by Zhandos Tungyshbaev, marks his directorial debut. MADE OF was responsible for casting the central couple, whose dynamic is the story's core. The video garnered over a million views in the first two days.

A story built on a pair isn't built from two successful auditions. Two strong performers can be cast and yet fail to establish a connection between them, so a decision is made only after a joint audition.

A director's debut adds another challenge to the casting process: agreeing on what exactly we're looking for when there's no descriptive language yet. This part usually takes the most time.
