Olzhas Bayalbaev's feature-length horror film, based on Alexander Mendybaev's novella "Tenants," is under international casting. MADE OF held an international casting call for the film. Under the title Claustro, the film won the Best Film award at the Boston SciFi Film Festival.

Horror relies on trust in the face. The audience forgives the conventionality of the set but not the falseness in the eyes, so in this genre, auditions look not at expressiveness but at how the person acts when they're not acting.

International casting adds a second challenge: bringing together actors with different styles and styles in a single film so that the differences don't read as a glitch. The more confined the story space, the more noticeable any discrepancy between the performers.
